Responsible access
Built for people seeking public information.
CivRep provides free, neutral, no-account access to current representation and public-office contact information.
Normal public use is welcome
Residents, journalists, researchers and community organizations may use the site to identify representatives, review displayed information and follow links to official government sources.
Use official links for verification
Public facts and government records are not owned by CivRep. Official-page and contact links remain beside each displayed officeholder so visitors can verify current information with the responsible public body.
No bulk harvesting or systematic replication
Automated collection, high-volume extraction, systematic replication, mirroring, republishing of the compiled directory, or attempts to evade technical controls are not permitted. CivRep does not provide a public source library, bulk JSON feed, CSV export or record-enumeration sitemap.
CivRep work product
To the extent allowed by law, CivRep and CivDIP retain rights in CivRep's original interface, explanations, calculations, selection and arrangement of information, and compilation structure. This does not restrict access to the underlying public records from their official sources.
Privacy-preserving controls
Request limits use a salted, one-way request token held briefly in server memory. CivRep does not store raw IP addresses, submitted street addresses or visitor profiles for this purpose.
